Foundation Assistant Small family foundation seeks part-time administrative assistant to help with the organizational details of its grant application intake and review process. The work hours would be largely concentrated between early March and mid-June, when the foundation conducts its annual grant application process, with fewer responsibilities in the other months. During the application period, the assistant would gather and review all the applications, and prepare brief summaries of the applications and other background information for the board’s review. The assistant would likely attend one or two of the board meetings to assist with other details. During the months when the foundation is not active, the assistant would handle occasional correspondence and other matters, and help maintain the foundation records. This job is ideal for someone who could easily combine the relatively small and variable number of hours with his or her other job responsiblities. Word processing and spreadsheet capabilities required, with access to a computer and printer to produce written materials and correspondence. The foundation makes small grants to social service and environmental organizations in the Greater Cumberland County area. It would be advantageous if the applicant had an interest and experience in these areas. The job hours are limited, and it is estimated that the total number of hours between early March and mid-June would be 20 to 30, with the bulk of that time in March and early April. At other times of year, the hours are estimated to be only two to three hours per month. To Apply: Please send resume and cover letter outlining your interest in the job
